This micro-credential is tailored specifically for you, as a First Nations student, to develop the knowledge, skills, and capabilities essential for a career as a theatre practitioner in the creative industries. As a participant you have a unique opportunity through this micro-credential to develop your skills in writing for theatre. You will explore storytelling as a means of preserving culture, imparting wisdom, and fostering community bonds. You’ll learn about the power of narrative as an art form ensuring voices of First Nations peoples are shared, heard and remembered.
Upon completion, you will receive a non-creditable micro-credential and a digital badge, which you can proudly display on your social networks and professional portfolio, showcasing your commitment to excellence in writing stories for theatre.

Learning Outcomes:
- Identify significance and contexts of storytelling in Australian communities (not all stories are based on cultural backgrounds)

- Explore storytelling in real-world scenarios to consider how narratives share knowledge, impart wisdom, and foster bonds.

Intakes: This micro credential is intended for select First Nations participants as advised by JUTE Theatre Company.
Students will submit an EOI to JUTE Theatre Company to register their interest in participating in the course. JUTE theatre company will then advise CQU of student names for a bulk enrolment.
