We will explore pedagogical practices conducive to the brain and learn how to implement them to optimise student learning effectively.Additionally, you will gain insights into neurological development from early childhood to young adulthood. We will discuss the contrasts between novices and experts, emphasising the importance of guiding novices away from ineffective self-directed approaches. Instead, we will focus on powerful teacher-led guided inquiry and explicit instruction.

You will acquire practical strategies to enhance memory encoding, storage, and retrieval processes, minimising factors that impede memory. These strategies align with the natural learning processes of students' brains.
This micro-credential aims to enhance your practice to improve student achievement and well-being by leveraging the brain's inherent neuroplasticity and understanding the nuances of novice versus expert learning.
