This micro-credential will explore a range of mathematical concepts and techniques such as operations, percentages, introductory algebra, simple equation solving, exponents, linear equations, introductory statistics and units and conversions. This micro-credential will provide opportunities for critical self-reflection on formative assessment to improve mathematical comprehension and communication of mathematical solutions.
Students who successfully complete the set of 4 micro-credentials* developed from the unit MATH40237 Fundamental Mathematics for University, (which forms part of the Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) CL03), may be eligible for credit transfer, pending all other entry requirements to the Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) CL03 are being met, as automatic entry will not apply.
