This micro-credential will provide you with the skills to identify and analyse leadership and management techniques in the context of engineering projects and generate a vision for your leadership style. You will develop an understanding of ethics, safety, cultural sensitivity, and environmental management applicable in engineering organisations and learn how to use leadership as a driver for sustainable development. Throughout the program, you will work with an industry mentor to develop a short to medium-term career plan to fulfil your leadership aspirations.

This online micro-credential provides a non-creditable micro-credential and digital badge which can be shared to your social networks and displayed in your professional portfolio.

Learning Outcomes:  

The intention of this micro-credential is for students to identify and analyse leadership and management techniques in the context of engineering projects and generate a vision for their own leadership style. Students will develop an understanding of ethics, safety, cultural sensitivity, and environmental management applicable in engineering organisations and learn how to use leadership as a driver for sustainable development.

Through 40 hours of self-paced online study, students will achieve the following learning outcomes:

  1. Identify and analyse leadership and engineering management techniques
  2. Develop a personal leadership vision
  3. Apply principles of safety, environmental management, cultural sensitivity, ethics, sustainable development, and professional judgment to decision making within engineering projects.
