Course Summary:

Falls can happen to anyone, anywhere and at anytime. As you grow older however, falls increase in likelihood and injuries tend to become more severe. This online micro-credential introduces the common precautions and strategies that can be implemented in our homes to prevent the risk of falling.

This is a non-creditable micro-credential which is awarded a digital badge and Certificate of Completion which can be shared to your social networks and displayed in your professional portfolio.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Identify the common risk factors for falls in the home  
  2. Recognise the potential intrinsic and extrinsic risks for falls
  3. Explore falls prevention management strategies in your work practice.

Undertaking this micro-credential enables students to meet their Continuing Professional Development obligations and industry update requirements in their profession.
