Course Summary:

Mathematics is used to solve many types of problems. This online micro-credential will introduce you to Integration. This includes integrating polynomials and basic functions, integrating by substitution, and basic application of integration to solve mathematical problems.

Students who successfully complete the set of 7 micro-credentials* developed from the unit MATH40252, Technical Mathematics for University, (which forms part of the Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) CL03), may be eligible for credit transfer, pending all other entry requirements to the Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) CL03 are being met, as automatic entry will not apply.

This online micro-credential provides a non-creditable micro-credential and digital badge which can be shared to your social networks and displayed in your professional portfolio.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Recognise and correctly use the integral sign
  2. Determine indefinite and definite integrals of given expressions
  3. Evaluate the constant of integration from given data
  4. Calculate the area under curve and between curves using integration techniques.

Assessment: One Exam (Downloaded document with 24 hours to complete and submit).
